An inexpensive yet accurate method of checking cable tension. Ideal for determining loads on sailboat rigging, guy wires, fences or any application where cable or wires are installed under load.
To measure the tension, simply hook the gauge on the cable or wire. Pull the lanyard until the pointer is positioned at the calibration mark at the end of the scale. With the pointer on the mark, read the scale at the point where the cable touches the scale
