Serving sailors online since 1997

Many of our products, including canvas, sails, rudders, tillers, and some parts, are built on demand and ship direct from the manufacturer. If your order includes such products from several manufacturers you will receive multiple shipments.

Our standard shipping method is UPS or FedEx ground, although smaller products ship USPS when it is the less expensive option. Some products are too large for UPS or USPS and trucking is required.

To request overnight or expedited delivery please contact us or include a comment with your order. Please note that we do not guarantee expedited shipping will arrive by your required date/time. The cost of expedited shipping is incurred at your risk.

Shipping costs displayed with your order are only an estimate. Actual costs may be lower if we can use USPS Flat Rate Priority Mail, or higher if the shipment size is subject to surcharges by FedEx or UPS. If actual costs are lower we will reduce your shipping charges. If actual costs are higher we will ask you to approve the amount prior to shipment.

Each product we sell displays an estimated shipping date under the product description. It is also included in your confirming email.

International shipping: Applicable duty, taxes, and brokerage fees are not estimated. Knowledge and payment of these fees is the responsibility of the buyer.

Shipping hazardous materials: Flammable, corrosive, or dangerous materials may require special shipping methods or incur a surcharge. We will contact you regarding additional charges.

Guarantee and Returns

For items purchased between February 2nd and October 31st, we accept returns within 30 days of receipt of the product, subject to the terms below. If your purchase is made between November 1st and February 1st, the time frame is extended to March 15th to accommodate our friends up north.

There is a 5% credit card processing/handling fee for all returns EXCEPT any item sold in the Catalina OEM parts store and items from the Hunter OEM parts store that are covered by the Hunter Parts Guarantee; such items incur no fee.

Items that ship from our inventory (i.e., specific inventory quantities are listed on our site) may be returned for a full refund of the item's price, for any reason.

Items not displaying a specific inventory quantity ship direct from a manufacturer or other third party. Such items that are NOT made to order will incur a 15% stocking fee.

All sails, pre-patterned and custom canvas, rudders by model, pre-patterend and custom cushions, tillers by model, or any product fabricated specifically for your order is subject to a 35% stocking fee. The fee is waived for warranty and fit issues, of course.

Any product built to YOUR specifications, including but not limited to certain rigging products, custom anchor rollers, custom mainsail covers, pedestal covers, as well as engraved drinkware may not be returned unless it does not meet the specifications you provided or is defective.

Hunter parts which you order by model are guaranteed to fit and are eligible for a 100% refund including shipping. There are exceptions to this guarantee as follows:

a) Parts that include dimensions in the description are not guaranteed when the dimension described is the cause of the fit problem.

b) Parts that are built to your specifications are returnable only when they are not built to the spec provided.

c) Cushions, canvas, sails, rudders, tillers, windows, and items which are fabricated for your order are not covered by the Hunter Parts Guarantee and are subject to the policies specific to pre-patterned or custom fabrication. Clearance Items are not returnable.

A return authorization is required prior to any return. To get an authorization, complete this return request form or contact customer service. Returned items must be complete, clean, contained in their original packaging, and of a condition suitable for resale. We cannot issue a credit on items that are returned dirty, damaged, used, or show tool marks from installation.

Orders and items may be canceled any time prior to shipment without penalty, with two exceptions: Items fabricated specifically for your order and special order items cannot be canceled after your order is placed.
