This 3-strand spun polyester rope has the same construction as their regular 3-strand polyester line, but is uses a combination of filament and staple/spun polyester fibers, resulting in the look of a traditional 3-strand rope, but with a softer hand. Like all polyesters, it is more UV resistant, and has a longer life, than an equivalent nylon line. Used on classic boats and dinghies for halyards, sheets and control lines; also used as sailmakers' bolt rope. Note that in spite of being polyester, with its 3-strand construction, this rope still has a noticeable amount of stretch under load.
Very soft, free running rope that resists jamming and kinking Abrasion resistant Sure gripping surface Excellent wet/dry strength retention Easy to splice; good knot holding properties Very little degradation from sunlight Sold by the foot
