How It Works
The E-500 uses a renewable silica gel technology that works without batteries or power. This renewable dehumidifier can be placed in any area up to 500 cubic feet and will silently absorb moisture. As the unit absorbs moisture there is an indicator window that contains crystals that will change from blue to pink once it has reached its capacity (6-8 oz). This should take between 4 to 8 weeks but will vary depending on conditions. Once the crystals have changed to pink, it is ready to be plugged into an electrical socket for 12 to 15 hours in a well-ventilated area. After 12 to 15 hours the crystals will have released the adsobed moisture and changed back to blue. The unit is then ready to be used again. The process can be repeated for as much as 10 years. It's that simple!
