An ideal windlass for bass and smaller pontoon boats, Lewmar's CRW400 represents an innovative transformation in engineering and design for small boat windlasses.
The CRW400 is built around a drum-wound rope anchor rode, and incorporates a unique "level wind" mechanism so the rode is always stowed neatly on the drum, ensuring tangle-free anchoring and maximum stowage capacity every time.
Neat and clean. No need for a locker, or having to deal with messy, wet coils of line on the deck!

In addition, the windlass features a "Load-Sense" safety feature - which prevents the unit from paying out line unless there is a pull on the anchor rode - typically from the weight of the anchor. This feature also allows for effective "drift" fishing.
An "Auto-Stop" feature utilizes a magnet embedded in the supplied anchor rode to ensure that a safe number of wraps always remains on the drum when anchoring in deep water.

Controls are right where you need them an integrated Up/Down switch is located at the rear of the housing, together with a circuit breaker reset button.
A clear window in the front of the housing allows you to observe the functioning of the windlass, with no risk of trapping fingers or clothing in the winding drum.
With a stainless steel chassis, composite bearings and gearing technology, and a strong UV-stabilized ABS shell, the CRW400 is highly corrosion resistant, and well-suited for use in saltwater applications.
