No more cold, hard bar in the middle of your back. These stern rail back cushions are made of closed cell foam (which doesn't absorb water) and are covered with tough marine Sunbrella. They make an otherwise hard stern rail a comfortable back rest. These are the highest quality stern rail cushions available and will last for many years.
The Sunbrella cover is made with an overlapping Velcro closure along the bottom and can be made in any color you choose. If you don't see your color listed below, select "other" from the pull down menu and note the color you want in the comments box when you check out.
As you can see in the picture, the Sunbrella does wrinkle a bit when curving to fit the rail. The more dramatic the curve the more the cover wrinkles. Wrinkles can be diminished some by smoothing out as you secure the Velcro on the underside, but in most cases they will never be wrinkle free.
We offer two sizes, one for 7/8 rail and one for larger diameter rails. The distinction between the two is the diameter of the canvas covers, but the same diameter of foam is used for all models. For the 1 inch and greater rail the foam will have a small gap in it. You simply install the foam with the gap pointed downward and then secure the velcro on the canvas over the top. The gap in the foam does not affect the quality, fit or function of the finished product.

If you have a T-bar support rail (goes from the lower rail to the top rail), a cut-out can be included in the cushions so it fits around the bar.
